Future BBQ menus

If you are an act local to NC and would like to discuss appearing on the Backyard BBQ, contact me via email.
It's best to schedule it the Sunday immediately preceding your gig, or CD release, etc.  Contact
sooner is always better than later.

What's this?
...shadowy specters of dissonance...

...hovering over Chapel Hill's  winter sky...  when suddenly, a distant rumbling--thunderous footsteps  and the dark silhouette of a giant appears on the horizon!

Yes, indeedy, you read it right!  We're expectin' a haintin',
Ghost of Rock style, with a visit from Ron Liberti.  He'll be joined by Chuck Garrison of the Cardiff Giants, and Mike Kenlan may also be a part of this gargantuan venture.  Tune in and give a listen as we piece together some of that incestuous Chapel Hill family tree of dissonance.

People who know me know I have a pretty diverse taste in music, but the truth of the matter is, these are the guys who bring the noise that I like most of all.

The very best part is you'll be able to hear and see both of these bands perform at Local 506 this coming
Saturday, February 15th.  I haven't seen the Cardiff Giants, yet, but as I understand it, if we get both of these bands on stage at the same time we'll have all of Pipe, much of Zen Frisbee, a goodly portion of Small 23, some of the Bad Checks, Evil Wiener, Superchunk (see, it's true: Chuck Garrison really is the hardest working drummer in Chapel Hill!)... damn, and I'm not even  thinking about Lee waters, yet!!!!  ...so that adds Cobra Khan, Panzer, LUD, SBTN, Work Clothes ...  And you're still trying to figure out what to do this Saturday night???

Reading 'n' Writing 'n' 'Rithmatic?

Well, not exactly, but the BBQ is up for a schoolin' with John Harrison and other "faculty members" of North Elementary, We've scheduled the assembly to take place prime BBQ time, so meet in the cafeteria, where the public address system will be tuned to 89.3FM.  And who knows... we may even have some other Pleasantries in store for you.

Both North Elementary and Pleasant will be taking the stage Friday, February 21st at Local 506.
(How did
they know it was my birthday?)

Goody, Goody Gumdrops!

This week, the Backyard BBQ will be of the wienie roast variety, as Billy Sugarfix drops in to sweeten the airwaves at WXYC and prepare us for the upcoming Evil Wiener appearance at Go.
