It will be the most talked about event of the year!
Eat, drink, and be merry--in a Yiddish cultural
atmosphere that allows for all levels of Yiddish
ability--sing, dance, talk, walk, see film, davn, live,
love and learn in Yiddish. From basic beginners'
Yiddish to the erotica found deep within our
literature, celebrate together our language and
culture, past, present and future. For centuries,
Yiddish has been a vital factor in our lives and
Mame-Loshn '96 is proof. Workshops and entertainment
take you through every facet of life from playing
Yiddish basketball to playing the violin; from the
religious roots of Yiddish to the romantic reveries of
our authors; from computers to cooking; from drama to
vaudeville. Mame-Loshn '96 takes place on a beautiful
college campus in Fairfield, CT. Traditional and
secular Shevuos services begin on Thursday, May 23. All
meals are kosher and vegetarian or dairy. Arrive
Thursday or Friday!
