Since December of 2000 I have been working for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries. First hired as a library assistant in the library's Media Resources Center I managed student employees and maintained records for new materials. While working at the MRC I took it upon myself to reinvent the department's web presence into a dynamic, interactive sight with a host of new information and a searchable database of video materials. The Filmfinder as the films database came to be called opened the door to my current position as one of three webdevelopers for the University Libraries.
Working since September as a web developer doing primarily mysql database design, writing php middleware and
designing user interfaces, I have completed many large projects including a Video material booking system, and an
Integrated print and electronic reserves search and renewal system. These projects represent just the highlights
of the work I have done while with the webteam.
