We have produced a 20-minute educational video, entitled Meet Zimbabwe's Young Scholars, that showcases the lives of these six scholars. This video shows the schools they attend, the sports they play, the music they listen to, and the religion they practice. It also provides a historical, geographical, and cultural overview of Zimbabwe. With their own words, these scholars describe the difficulties they faced and how they ultimately overcame the odds. Their determination, optimism, and genuine kindness serve as a refreshing reminder of what is truly valuable. The video fits well into the social studies curriculum, but can also be incorporated into lessons on character and interdisciplinary units.
If you'd like to see a video clip of one of the featured scholars, we offer three different versions to accommodate users with different modem speeds below.
