Re: pamphlets, ephemera, etc.
At my previous place of employment, The Bentley Historical Library at the
University of Michigan, they used a vertical file to house small items
such pamphlets and other things that were too few in number to become
an individual collection. The file was divided up alphabetically by the major
collecting focuses of the archives, the University of Michigan and the
city of Ann Arbor as well as other cities in the state. In some
cases, such as Ann Arbor politics, the information was broken down
chronologically. The material was stored in acid free folders in file
cabinets. Since it has been almost a year and a half since I worked
