Thanks for the quick responses! Following are the general
recommendations from quite a few people:
1- Leave the contents in the book, with acid free
sheets/tissue between pages
2- Dismantle book, make photocopies of originals for hand
written notes and order
3- Microfilm each page for general use
After much discussion, we have decided to leave the book
intact. The paper is not eating away at anything but glue, which can be
good. If something falls off, it goes into a sleeve of its same
size, and gets left in the same place in the book.
Thanks again for all your help!
