Temporary closure, Archives of Union Theological Seminary

Effective today, the Archives of the Burke Library, Union
Theological Seminary in the City of New York, will be closed due to
to extensive renovations mandated by a generous grant from the
Lilly Endowment. The archives, which will be stored at Princeton
Theological Seminary, will not be open for business until the
renovations to the storage area and facilities are complete. This is
estimated to take place in the spring of 2002. We apologize for
this inaccessibility, but the need for a new HVAC system and
improved shelving capacity has become an imperative.

Interested readers are encouraged to stay in touch with the
Archivist, Claire McCurdy, to obtain earliest notice of the reopening
of the archives. Her number is 212/280-1502, and her e-mail
address is <awt@uts.columbia.edu.>
