oral history tapes
I have an opportunity to "acquire" an oral history collection but
won't be receiving the actual original tapes. I will get copies of
the releases and have/make copies of the original tapes. My
copies will be (to me, anyway) the "master" and I'll make copies
for users (depending on the release forms).
We have to purchase the blank audiotapes. Everything i'm reading
says the tapes should be 60-minute "high quality"...but no one defines
what is meant by "high quality." The only other term I've found has
been "high density." Can anyone tell me what brand or type that they
are using for oral history? I certainly don't want the three-for-a-dollar
stuff from the "marts."
Thanks.
