The current consensus is that "deponent" isn't very good word to describe the semantics of the voice forms. The meaning is naturally "subject affected", so both passive and middle are natural forms to express "to dwell". That's how it's used according to the dictionarie...

Apparently things were really fixed because posts started to appear into the old rss feed, and I can log in with my account. The forum has been quiet until now and I already forgot its existence :)

For ζάω not so much conduct one's life or retain one's live, as simply to live = be alive = have life. Could we say "stays alive"? I.e. as long as one is "in" the law. That the things a person are the domain metaphorical container *in which* they live. I don't understand MAubrey...
