Or as Captain Barbossa said, "...the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules."

Re: Syntax Question on 2 John 3
Thanks Carl and Stephen! I'm assuming Ephesians 2:8 would be treated similarly: 8 τῇ γὰρ χάριτί ἐστε σεσῳσμένοι διὰ πίστεως· καὶ τοῦτο οὐκ ἐξ ὑμῶν, θεοῦ τὸ δῶρον It has two feminine nouns and a masculine participle. I assume since "τοῦτο" is a neuter singular demonstrative that it is refer...

Re: Checking answers in Duff's "The Elements of New Testamen
Hi Jacob,
You could always send your answers to someone on the board privately and they could check them for you... If you'd like, you could send me a couple of the ones that you find difficulty with and I could look at them.
Blessings,
Brent

Re: Sabbath genitive or accusative
Jacob,
It is my understanding that since "the law" is in the accusative form, that "the Sabbath" would be understood to be nominative.

Hi! My name on Textkit is "TheElk" but I'm mostly a lurker there. Many of the conversations are still way above my level, so I tend not to post.

Greetings! I'm a seminary student learning Greek.
First of all, I'm a student in an MDiv program and I am taking first year Greek using N. Clayton Croy's "A Primer of Biblical Greek" and I really enjoy it. So much so, that I've created my own exercises and videos on translating them (keyed to Croy's vocab, grammar, and syntax) and put the...
