Okay, thanks. I actually have come to an understanding of the passage since I posted this question and it doesn't involve an ingressive, so I'm happy. But it is useful to have the grammar question settled nonetheless as I struggle with non-indicative nuances. For the curious, I think the time he has...

Thank you Matthew, Jonathon. I think I have a better idea now of the factors that go into interpreting this construction.

Thanks. To be honest, it crossed my mind that an underline might be more effective but I was lazy and didn't add it.

Or actually, wouldn't "let us do this until we all attain..."
and "let us know longer be children..."
and "let us grow up in all aspects"?
