Two texts about aspect and tense (against "aspect-only theory")

Post by Eeli Kaikkonen » November 7th, 2019, 5:05 am

Two texts have been published recently in arguing against "aspect-only theory":

Aaron Tresham: ... the_Romans
Advisors: Kelly T. Osborne, Paul W. Felix, and Moisés Silva

This is a dissertation and therefore quite long. I haven't read it (yet). It seems to cover much of the same ground than the next one:

Christopher J Fresch: ... ndicatives

This is the article from The Greek Verb Revisited. This is easy to read, short and can be recommended highly.

Both use linguistic prototype theory to argue that there is tense in Koine verb indicative.
