I've put a blog post up
"What is wrong with calling the Hebrew verb 'an aspect'?"
It includes a brief comparison with Greek.

What's your take on Alexander Andrason's work on the Hebrew verb system? It comes off as being fairly complex.

Yes, personally I would distill it in simpler components.
I did a blog on it a couple of years ago.

I see that you left a comment at the time.

On complexity, there are two opposing items at play. 1. Linguistic write-up tends toward complexity and abstractness since it is describing something from outside and often trying to explain historical prehistories and cognate trajectories. 2. The emic features being manipulated from inside may be quite a bit simpler and direct.

Indeed I have! I hadn't read Andrason's article then, nor would I have been ready to understand it had I done so. But nonetheless, I appreciated your response as something I could I get back to when it became appropriate. I see that after 2-3 years, I needed to be reminded that you did address it after all!
