Hello:

I am reading Mounce's online Teknia blog entry regarding chapter(21) regarding the Imperfect Indicative.

In this post on aktionsart, he mentions the greek word διεστέλλετο.

I am not understanding where the augment is found in this word.

Is this a compound verb?

It is indeed: δια-στέλλομαι. The augment in a compound verb ordinarily comes between the prefix and the verbal stem; in this instance the α of δια- is elided before the ε in δι-ε-στέλλετο.
