Is anyone aware of a detailed study of the senses of πάλιν? Or of phasal adverbs in general (ἔτι, ἤδη, etc.)?

Thanks for posting this comprehensive bibliography.Stephen Carlson wrote:I found a Bibliography about Greek Particles (1935-2010) by Martín Páez about this word and other such words here: http://syntaktika.revues.org/120?lang=en
OK, I've just checked this book out from the library. It's basically a cross-reference index to BDAG, BAGD, Wallace, and Harris, with some extra symbols for logical relationships tossed in. Aside from providing a list of possible glosses and functions, there is almost no guidance for applying them to any particular context. It is probably the most useless reference book on any aspect of Greek I have ever consulted. I can't recommend it.
Perhaps that helps explain the curious variety of prices listed by Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/psqomo9: $12.96 for the paperback, ($8.01 used!); $9.99 (Kindle),, and, if you choose, you can pay a lot more for other used copies., to name only a few; I suspect that several have bought the book and quickly decided to dump it.Stephen Carlson wrote:OK, I've just checked this book out from the library. This isn't quite the same thing, and I have only browsed it, but it seems relevant:Stephen Carlson wrote:Is anyone aware of a detailed study of the senses of πάλιν? Or of phasal adverbs in general (ἔτι, ἤδη, etc.)?
