Would anyone be able to point me to any literature that has diachronically analyzed the shift from middle to passive morphology from Homeric Greek to early Christian literature? I'm working on a term paper, and this is my topic. I feel that someone has probably written on this, but I don't know where to find that information.

You should definitely check out Rutger Allan's dissertation, "The Middle Voice in Ancient Greek. A study in Polysemy." Though the book is fairly pricey, the dissertation itself is online at: http://dare.uva.nl/en/record/108528
