If anyone else knows of similar opportunities (I know that CUNY used to offer summer intensives in both Greek and Latin), feel free to post them.

Oh, and here's the link to CUNY:

Re: Summer Biblical Language Intensive Courses

Language intensive courses are courses which (imop) have a 2-6 week duration per 1 year course. Students who attend 12 weeks intensive instruction can get 'credits' for 1 1/2 to 2 years of normal language instruction at a university. So students who study attending intensive language classes can learn two years of the 'drip by drip" standard university language instruction in a very short time. I took 1 1/2 years of Latin at the University of Minnesota in 12 weeks - during the summer (1978-1979).

I am not sure if language teaching today at universities has changed that much regarding Biblical Greek and Biblical Hebrew. I know of several places intensive instruction is taught for Latin, Attic-Koine Greek, and Biblical Hebrew. I don't have time right now to list them, but Randall Buth, Christophe Rico, the University of Kentucky, all have these types of courses.

I will update this post with more links this weekend. (-33 F in Minneapolis, MN today).
