Material on NT & LXX text processing analysis?

Post by emilianofs » July 21st, 2020, 10:34 am

Hello everybody,

I am looking for some material about NT & LXX text processing analysis. Basically, I would like know if there is any analysis including for instance:
  • Quantity of words by type (noun, adjetive, verb, etc) - per book/chapter
  • Word frequency - per book/chapter
  • Verb tenses frequency - per book/chapter
  • Lemma frequency - per book/chapter
  • POS - Subject, Direct Object, etc. frequency
I've been looking everywhere for some material including these king of text processing analysis but cannot find anything.

Thanks,

Most of this is easy to create with a Python script from a morphologically tagged text, e.g.lxxmorph or some of the formats you can download from the Unbound Bible.

For subject, direct object, etc. I would use a syntax tree for the GNT, but I do not know of any freely licensed ones for the Septuagint. I generally use POS to mean "part of speech" - noun, verb, etc.
