This is why I am strongly for the idea of an online collaborative project that works to build up the Greek New Testament again from scratch using data from original manuscripts. I imagine we could have some form of interface where we see the raw data in an interlinear type of format, and allow trusted people to "vote" for each variant, and maybe make comments. (The data surrounding this vote could possibly eventually form a basis for an apparatus). Once my thesis is over I plan to post about this further to see if there would be any interest.

I assume such a project would have to provide an easy way for people to vote on a variant (click on preferred option), and secondly provide an easy way to add/insert punctuation recommendations. I imagine if the site was easy enough to use, and people used it as part of their devotional time, I imagine we could build up something quite useful in a reasonably short time.
