Post by Kyle McClintock »

Hello My name is Kyle.

I am a seminary student at SWBTS in the The Master of Theological Studies program currently. Hoping to continue to the MDiv program. My current program does not require biblical languages. But Id like to learn.I aspire to ministry. Saved by grace as an adult. I'm 35, Married 13 years, 1 Son, Army Veteran. Looking forward to getting a head start on my Biblical language studies.

Welcome, Kyle.

Are you currently working on learning biblical languages? What approach are you using?

Ive had a few "false starts" before. But I have purchased and glanced at 1) Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek and 2) Beginning with New Testament by Merkle/Plummer.

I guess I know very little. And I also have little time to study as I am currently in other classes that demand my attention.

But my classes have given me a rudimentary familiarity to the greek.

I guess I have the desire, but really that is about as far as I am...

Looking for tips, and motivation for an extreme beginner.
