Newbie: Erasmian, Modern, or Reconstructed?

Hello everyone!
As someone just starting out with Biblical Greek, I’ve realized that one of the biggest hurdles is deciding which pronunciation system to use. Some textbooks stick with Erasmian, some teachers recommend Modern Greek, and then there’s the reconstructed “Koine” pronunciation that claims to be more historically accurate.
I’d love to hear from all of you:
Which pronunciation did you first learn, and why?
Did you ever switch systems later on?
Do you think the choice of pronunciation affects reading comprehension, memory, or even how you connect with the text spiritually or academically?
Looking forward to hearing your stories, struggles, and advice—since I know I’m not the only one facing this puzzle!
