daily email digest

Post by Curtis Dawson »

How do I change the email address the daily email digest of posts comes to? I changed it in my profile settings, but the daily email still comes to the old email address.
Respectfully,

I've never received a digest. I get notified about each post. How did you get signed up for digest?

OK...

So, I imagine that at the bottom of the digest you have an unsubscribe link. You should start there. Unsubscribe your old email address through that link.

Next, subscribe your new email address here.

You haven't done that, have you?

Regards.

Jason,

Thank you for your reply. Attached is what I have been receiving each day since the move to phpBB. It was an option at that time years ago. No, I have not tried what you suggest. It sounds like you were not aware that a digest option was available. Before I do as you suggest, let me ask if you are you certain there is not a digest option available now?

Of course there is. I tested it yesterday before suggesting it to you.

Something strange seems to have happened to B-Greek during the past couple of years. I used to get a daily summary of posts in my email box, but that hasn't happened for some years now, and I can't find out how to start it up again. Is it still available, and if so, how do I get in the list?
Thanks,

I used to get the digest too. I wouldn't mind having it again. Although I do check the site almost daily for new posts. I do get notifications of replies to topics I'm following, which is helpful.

Jason, I tried just now with the feedburner link (in your post) to sign up for the digest, but got a 404 error. I tried direct signup next and entered ibiblio.org/bgreek/forum/ in the proxy box and got the "unknown error" message. I also tried with the full B-Greek url but got the same error.

Would you mind going over the steps for the signup? Maybe I'm missing something.

The link you give for subscribing gives a 404 message

I would also like to resume receiving the daily email digest. Please let me know what to do when you figure it out.
