John 1:9

I have a feeling this has been asked before, but I can't find it, so...

Can ἐρχόμενον be understood as neuter nominative singular (agreeing with φῶς) as well as masculine accusative singular?

Is there a grammatical reason it can't?
Is there a syntactical reason, or just a "that seems quite unlikely") reason?

Thank you all very much.

Yes, it can be understood either way. That was recently discussed here.
