Hello to all:
Is it possible to obtain a computer text transcription of Codex Vatincanus?
I really enjoy being able to open up the Greek text of the NT in a Word document. I was able to obtain the Westcott and Hort text and the Byzantine 2005 Textform in plain text format. I am very interested in obtaining the text of Codex Vaticanus as well.
Thanks very much for the help,
Chris

Re: Codex Vaticanus
Ken,
Thank you for the reply.
I was looking for the pure text of Codex Vaticanus. I am not sure what the text on the website is. Also, the text is in Unicode.
My only other option is to carefully compare the photos of the pages of Codex Vaticanus with the text of Westcott and Hort, and then modify W-H so that it becomes the pure text of Codex Vaticanus. However, this is very slow and tedious work.
I happened to come across the following study regarding Codex Vaticanus:
http://www.sunrise-publications.com/Art ... _text1.pdf
I think the study is quite interesting and persuasive. They mention that Professor Reuben Swanson chose to use the text of Codex Vaticanus as the base text for his books on manuscript variants.
I'll keep searching...
Thanks,
Chris
