Dear B-greekers,

I'd be interested to hera your thoughts on 1 Timothy
2:15:

SWQHSETAI DE DIA THS TEKVOGONIAS, EAN MEINWSIN EN
PISTEI KAI AGAPH KAI AGIASMW META SWFROSUNHS

Why does this sentence switch from the singular to the
plural. Up to the EAN I understand this verse to be
reffering to Eve (who will be saved through the child
birth i.e. Christ) but then the plural throws me. I
know some translations pluralise the whole verse
(women will be saved through childbearing) but this is
fundamantally inconsistent with Paul's theology of
salvation by Grace. What are your thoughts?
