Dear List,

In E.W. Bullinger's Companion Bible Appendix 164 he states regarding
John 19.18 (KAI MET' AUTOU ALLOUS DUO ENTEUQEN KAI ENTEUQEN) that this
should be understood as "and with Him others, two on this side, and that
side" meaning there were four crucified with Jesus. In my understanding
and in looking at the places in the LXX where a similar construction is
used Exod17:12; Num 22:14; Josh 8:22; 2 Sam 2:13, for there to be two on
each side DUO would have to appear on both sides of the KAI between the
ENTEUQEN 's. Is this true or am I missing something?

Thanks,
