Hi Mitch,
The other posters have answered your questions adequately. I would just
observe that this is probably a Semitism (according to Turner). But if
the question had been put indirectly, APOKAQISTANEI (3rd per.) instead of
APOKAQISTANEIS (2nd per.) and KURIE dropped, you would have perfectly
normal Greek. In English: they were asking him whether he was restoring
the kingdom....
