Many thanks for your replies to my questions! They have been most helpful! If
you were to translate this text, would you translate MOI over to English
(assuming you are translating into English) or leave it untranslated? The book I
am referencing leaves it untranslated and so does the NET Bible (I have seen
this translation referenced several times while searching the archives of this
site.).
_____________

When you translate this as "I don't have" or "I have no" with the NET, you
are translating the MOI. It's simply that the structure of the sentence is
altered in the process so that the dative MOI becomes nominative and the subject
of the sentence.
