Danny Zacharias -- in his blog at http://www.deinde.org/blog/ -- has
been posting information about electronic Greek flashcards for
vocabulary acquisition. Most beginning students of languages find
flash cards useful, although I'd add a warning that it's dangerous to
become dependent on the brief glosses that are necessarily used in
such programs. I think they can be helpful for familiarization with
the more frequently-used items of vocabulary, although I think that
abundant reading of original texts and seeing the more frequent words
in varied contexts in actual usage is ultimately the only way to get
to know them the way one really needs to know them. With that caveat,
I think that the information Danny Zacharias has made available in his
blog may be useful to some learners. Others in blogdom have called
attention to these; one of the nicest summations is by Mark Hoffman at
the Biblical Studies and Technological Tools site: http://bibleandtech.blogspot.com/2008/09/digital-vocabulary-flashcards-for.html
