That's a good question, one we can't pursue here. But, perhaps it is useful
to keep in mind that in any group like this there are not only people who
believe the Greek scriptures are inspired and thus there can be no
'mistakes', but also people who believe the Greek scriptures are inspired
but that inspiration does no necessarily exclude such mistakes, as well as
people who do not believe in any sort of inspiration. No belief in
inspiration is required to post in this group, nor is any belief in
inspiration really necessary to study NT Greek. There are peopel who do not
beleive in inspiration or a God who inspires, but do find the study of the
NT interesting - either as a historical or social document. We can all
discuss what Paul meant by his words, whether they differ from a (possible)
source, and why that might be, without having to adopt any particular view
on inspiration. When Paul seems to be quoting Scripture, but his words
differ from any version of the Greek OT and the MT, those who beleive in a
version of inspiration that demands this not happen will need to deal with
that, but it isn't really a concern of B-Greek, nor should those who don't
follow such a view of inspiration feel compelled to justify their views.
