I can see someone loosing their sanity trying to understand Levinsohn (DFNTG 2000 SIL). I have been reading it and rereading it since the mid 1990s (first edition was 1992). It is not the most lucid work on text linguistics.

Richard Hoyle's work is eminently readable. There are probably a hundred NT greek examples with explanations. Hoyle's book is a "self study course" in advanced greek. His treatment of the greek article is required reading for anyone who wants to do greek in the twenty first century. But of course there will always be those who would rather peruse the eternal quest [never realized] for the one true reading of the Granville Sharp rule.
