 Dear David,

 See my other post. As I noted there, the Hebrew sometimes has the definite
 articles, and sometimes (more often) not. So the LXX has and has not; but
 not systematically. IMHO, it has become a set-phrase Doxology. Compare the
 Latin "per saecula saeculorum, Amen" formula, often recurring in the Latin
 liturgy.
