Dear List-members,
Discussing the meaning of SKEUOS in 1Th 4:4 in his recent commentary
Abraham Malherbe states that reflexive pronoun hEAUTOU in this verse being
in the attributive position "stresses one person's possession in contrast
to that of someone else, in this case, that of the brother against whom
one should not trespass or act covetously (v 6)."
My question: does the attributive position of this pronoun necessarily
signify such a stress (of one's possession IN CONTRAST to someone else)?
Thank you,
Alexander Kyrychenko.
