Both of the threads concerned with the two passages indicated above are
hereby closed, no matter what the subject-header (that on Rev 3:14 has been
carried on with reference to Revelation 3:14 or Apocalypse 3:14, and even
"Metaphysics").
The questions initiating each of these discussions were phrased innocently,
perhaps naively, but whether intended or not to promote a theological
agenda, responses quickly led into not-very-well disguised theological
undertones. Perhaps that could hardly be avoided inasmuch as ARCH was, ever
since the cosmological speculations of Anaximander and the political
interaction of endlessly-sparring Greek states and statesmen, a word of
far-ranging meanings.
Can we get away from theological concerns, please, and keep our focus on
the Biblical Greek text and Greek language itself.
