Thanks again for a clear statement on a muddled issue.

If people must play that "Name That Case" game then let them use names that
represent the kind of information that the case actually provides. The name
you have suggested "indirect objective genitive" does just that. It
identifies the syntactic structural function of the case.

On the other hand since there are only a little over a half a dozen
syntactic structural functions for any single case form the need to "Name
That Case" isn't really all the pressing. We could drop the game all
together without much loss.
