Some time back I posted a question about the difference in meaning
between the present active imperative in the Gospels (e.g. Mk. 4:9
AKOUETW), and the aorist (AKOUSATW) In the letters to the angels of the
7 churches at Rev. 2-3. How does the difference in aspect between
aorist and present tenses affect the fource of the imperative here?
I would appreciate any thoughts at all on these phrases and their
differences
OS EXEI WTA AKOUEIN AKOUETW (Mark 4:9)
O EXWN OUN AKOUSATW (Rev. 2:7 etc.)
Thanks!
