Carl,
That is a VERY handsome statement. I believe it devoutly; if I didn't,
there would only be the pleasure of wine left for me, to make life really
enjoyable.
(Pleasure of wine reminds me: Friday night I hosted dinner for 120 people
with a six-course super-gourmet meal prepared by a remarkable chef, every
course designed to match one of the fine wines I had purchased for the
occasion. That meant buying 144 bottles of wine, but a few were
unopened, especially of the later ones served --"please pour me lighter
this time" was heard. A nice evening.)
