In response to Ted's feeling about not having to learn the paradigms, that
can also be a deficiency of his grammar. The truth of the matter, you do
need to learn some basic paradigms, regardless of whose grammar you learn
from, and anyone who would tell you differently is certainly not "shooting
straight" with you. Even in Mounc's grammar, if you don't learn the basic
paradigms, your proficiency in reading the text by itself may be greatly
limited.
