Parousia could certainly be understood as "to be beside", when the real
presence defines the time and event. As the various texts seems to show, it
is more an event when , as per the Scripture, the presence of Jesus will be
"felt" -- the physical experience is not rejected.
It might be interesting to make a try to know the history of this word and
its interpretation as the Chrisitianity knows !
