I heard an adendum to the creation stories the other day. It seems that
Adam was walking in the garden but was sort of down in the mouth.

God came and asked, "What's wrong?"

Adam, "It's so lonsome here, and I have no one to talk to."

God said that he would fix the problem. He said he would create some one
for Adam to talk to and would call her woman. He went on to say that she
would not only talk to Adam but would make him very happy. she would cook
his meals and never give him left-overs; she would bear his children and
never make him get up at 3:OO A.M. to tend to them; she would support him
in all he did and when she became angry, she would apologize and make it up
to him.

Adam broke in and asked, "What's all this going to cost?"

God replied, "An arm and a leg!"

Adam asked, "What could I get for just a rib?"

The rest is history.
