Workers will typically visit households after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends. Residents should know that the only purpose for the visits is to get a basic count of people living in each household. <\/p>\n<p>Census workers should not ask to enter anyone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s residence. All census workers will carry several items identifying who they are, including an identification badge with their name and a U.S. Census logo on it, a shoulder bag with a U.S. Census logo, a census-worker sign on their car windshield and an information sheet that includes a notice about the confidentiality of census information.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or to determine whether or not a person at your door is an authorized census worker, call (336) 308-3456 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Spanish-language assistance is available at that number.<\/p>\n<p>Through mid-August, the Census Bureau also will conduct telephone interviews of some households with incomplete or inconsistent information on their mailed forms or households that reported more than six residents. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Census workers will visit some Chatham County households from May 3 to July 10.
