The public is invited to attend this meeting. Free parking is available and refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 85,000-square-foot Innovation Center will provide space and resources for UNC faculty and staff who have intellectual property with commercial potential. Although the center will be located on university-owned land at Carolina North, the building will be privately owned and will pay taxes to the local community. The Chapel Hill Town Council is currently scheduled to review the plan at its Jan. 23 meeting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspect arrested<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Saturday, Nov. 17, at around 1:50 a.m., Chapel Hill Police responded to a reported disturbance at Bailey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Pub and Grill on Fordham Blvd. They received a second report from a victim stating the suspect, later identified as Lewis Quentin Robinson, allegedly struck the victim with his vehicle and fired shots at him in the parking lot. The victim was later treated for a laceration to the hand and released from UNC Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>A search warrant was obtained and served. The vehicle allegedly used and a handgun were seized from the suspect\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s residence. Police obtained arrest warrants for attempted first-degree murder and assault with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Robinson is being held on $200,000 bond in Orange County.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chatham artists<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Chatham Artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Guild will hold its 15th Annual Chatham Open Studio Tour the first two weekends in December. The tour allows visitors to visit local artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 studios for an insight into the creative process. Local restaurants will have maps to studios.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Carolina Community College Pittsboro campus will host examples of the artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 work on December 1 and 2. It will also host a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Meet the Artists\u00e2\u20ac\u009d reception on Friday Nov. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. Artists\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 works are also being displayed at the ArtsCenter through Dec. 12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feast of the Five Senses<\/strong><br \/>\nJoin local author Daniel Wallace and fellow writer Wesley Stace for a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Feast of the Five Senses,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d hosted by WUNC\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Frank Stasio, Friday, Nov. 30, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the Barn at Fearrington in Pittsboro. McIntyre\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Fine Books is sponsoring the event.<\/p>\n<p>The evening\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s entertainment will also include versatile folksman John Wesley Harding and the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153manual dexterity and legerdemain\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of Geoff Lloyd.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s novels include Big Fish and Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician.
