Last weekend, a group of very-talented artists donated their time at the Murphey School Radio Show to benefit Community Home Trust and Housing for New Hope. The old-time variety show was hosted by the Shared Visions Foundation at the beautifully restored, historic Murphey School in Durham.
At the top of the list of those to be thanked are the foundation’s president and CEO, Jay Miller, and his very-talented wife and partner, Ebeth Scott-Sinclair. As musicians themselves, they had the vision to restore the Murphey School and the commitment and generosity to host these radio shows to benefit nonprofit organizations. I would also like to thank the show’s producers, Minnow Media, and the many artists and sponsors who are too numerous to name here but are listed on murpheyschoolradio.net. Finally, I would like to thank all the people who bought tickets to the show, thereby supporting the work of Community Home Trust and Housing for New Hope.
The shows were great entertainment; poignant at times, foot-stomping at others, and who knew Lee Smith was so funny? Thank you, to everyone involved.

Robert Dowling
Executive Director, Community Home Trust

[5

post-22036","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-opinion
["GET
