
{"id":2310,"date":"2008-04-10T07:28:15","date_gmt":"2008-04-10T15:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carrborocitizen.com\/main\/2008\/04\/10\/news-brief-discount-rabies-vaccine\/"},"modified":"2008-04-10T07:28:15","modified_gmt":"2008-04-10T15:28:15","slug":"news-brief-discount-rabies-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ibiblio.org\/carrborocitizen\/main\/2008\/04\/10\/news-brief-discount-rabies-vaccine\/","title":{"rendered":"News Brief: Discount rabies vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Orange County\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Animal Services Department will hold several low-cost rabies vaccination clinics in April.<br \/>\nUnder North Carolina law, pets over the age of 4 months must have a current and valid rabies vaccination at all times.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The dates for the April clinics are:<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 April 16, 8:30-10 a.m., at Animal Control on Revere Road in Hillsborough;<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 April 16, 7-8 p.m., at the Government Services Annex on South Cameron Street in Hillsborough;<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 April 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Orange County Animal Shelter off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Chapel Hill; and<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2 April 23, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Orange County Animal Shelter.<\/p>\n<p>All clinics will offer 1-year vaccinations, but 3-year vaccinations will only be offered at the April 16 clinic at the Government Services Annex and the April 19 clinic.<\/p>\n<p>The vaccination fee is $5 and must be paid in cash. To receive a 3-year vaccination, bring your pet\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most recent vaccination certificate. Dogs must be on leashes and cats should be kept in carriers. Animals that may be nervous or unsettled should be kept in a vehicle for their vaccination.
