Our street.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The doors to the empty building were standing open, but among several of the occupiers questioned, none would or could say how entry to the building was gained.<\/p>\n<p>A flyer passed out by the group states that &#8220;this is not a temporary protest, but a permanent occupation intended to establish a social center in the heart of Carrboro, instead of the CVS that would have been here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The flyer goes on to say that &#8220;we are here to show that we are not intimidated by armed police or their bureaucratic defenders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carrborocitizen.com\/main\/?p=23463\">here<\/a> to read the full text of the press release sent by the group calling itself &#8220;Carrboro Commune.&#8221; This press release was received at 4:38 this afternoon (Saturday 2\/4\/12).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At about 3 pm on Saturday, the old bank building and real estate office on the site of the proposed new CVS store at 201 N.
