The review also discovered instances of professors\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 signatures being forged and unauthorized grade changes.<br \/>\nThe department has recently been the center of attention in the media following a plagiarism scandal involving UNC football players and former department chair Julius Nyang\u00e2\u20ac\u2122oro. Nyang\u00e2\u20ac\u2122oro resigned as department chair last year and will retire from UNC on July 1.
