Gordon Battle Courthouse on East Margaret Lane in Hillsborough. Here&#8217;s the agenda:<\/p>\n<p>Public Hearing Items<\/p>\n<p>1.<span>  <\/span><strong><span>      <\/span><\/strong><!--[endif]--><strong><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c1.pdf\">US 70\/Cornelius Street Strategic Plan<\/a><\/span><\/strong><span>:<span>    <\/span>A joint Town\/County<span>  <\/span>Task Force   worked for the past year to develop a strategic plan for Cornelius Street   between North Churton Street<span>  <\/span>and   Holiday Park Road\/Lakeshore Drive.<span>    <\/span>The area is in Hillsborough\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s planning jurisdiction, but   implementation will require the cooperation of both local governments.<span>  <\/span><\/span><strong><u>Note<\/u>:<span>  <\/span>The Hillsborough Town Board of   Commissioners will join the County Commissioners and Planning Board for   presentation of this item. <\/strong>   <!--[if !supportLists]--><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>2.<span>        <\/span><\/span><!--[endif]--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c2.pdf\" style=\"font-weight: bold\">NC Highway 57 Speedway Area   Small Area Plan<\/a>:<span>  <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal\">A citizen task force,   Durham and Person County representatives, and two Orange County Commissioners   have spent the past 10 months addressing planning issues for a 900+ acre area   in the northeast corner of Orange County.<span>    <\/span>Issues include non-conforming, non-residential land uses,   traffic\/access management, water quality and quantity, noise and noxious odors,   and an appropriate level of residential and non-residential development. The   Task Force suggests a zoning overlay entitled Rural Economic Development Area   (REDA) be created to facilitate bringing non-conforming activities into   compliance.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>3. <strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; color: windowtext\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c3.pdf\">Land Use Element Text Amendments<\/a>:<span>  <\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Text Amendments to Section 3.3 entitled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Land Use Plan        Categories\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to amend the definition of the \u00e2\u20ac\u015310-Year Transition\u00e2\u20ac\u009d category        and to Section 4.0 entitled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Implementation and Evaluation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to amend the        \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Land Use Element-Zoning District Matrix.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>4. <strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c4.pdf\">Sedimentation and        Erosion Control Ordinance<\/a><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">:<span>  <\/span>The North Carolina Department of        Environment and Natural Resources &#8211; Land Quality Section has completed a        technical audit of the County\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Erosion Control program and suggested 15        amendments\/changes.<span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>5. <strong><span style=\"color: black; font-weight: normal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c5.pdf\"><strong>Orange   County Stormwater Ordinance for Lands within the Neuse River Basin<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/strong><span>:<span style=\"color: black\"><span>  <\/span>Text amendments to the Orange <\/span><\/span>County   Stormwater Ordinance for Lands within the Neuse River Basin to reflect   changes in the Nitrogen Reduction Offset payment calculation.<\/p>\n<p>6. <strong><span style=\"color: black\"><span> <\/span><\/span><\/strong><!--[endif]--><strong><span style=\"color: black\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521c6.pdf\">Orange County Zoning Ordinance<\/a>:<span>  <\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: black\">Text amendments to   Article 4.3 Permitted Use Table and Article 6.29 Development Standards for   Economic Development (ED) Districts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Non-Public Hearing Items<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.orange.nc.us\/OCCLERKS\/070521d1.pdf\">Agricultural Support Enterprises<\/a><\/strong>:<span>  <\/span>Planning and Economic Development staff   will provide an update on the proposal to create a new process and program   for agriculturally related businesses.<span>     <\/span>The process would identify a specific land use(s) based on a   site-specific development plan.<span>    <\/span>Agricultural Support Enterprises would be categorized by their level   of impact and a complementary review process whether low, medium, or high   impacts.<span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of County Commissioners will hold a quarterly public hearing with the Orange County Planning Board and the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the F.
