Side salad was nice and cold (room temperature salads are a big turn-off to this particular eater) and the iced tea was very good as well. Not too expensive either. Nice effort for a place so far from Louisiana.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Harry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Market Grand Opening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Head west this weekend for the area\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most recent addition to the cool little place up the road with plenty of local flavor.<br \/>\nFriday, 6 to 8 p.m., crepes, wine and live music. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., crafts, kidstuff and live music. harrysmarketatwhitecross.com.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local cheese<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Eater had a pleasant experience this past June with a summer cheese plate at Crook\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s built around a gently melted round of Chapel Hill Creamery\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Carolina Moon. Brie-like but local and fresh. (If you try this trick at home warm it \u00e2\u20ac\u201d don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t heat it.)<br \/>\nThe Creamery, which last year hosted Slow Food\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s big chef and farmer event (and SF Int\u00e2\u20ac\u2122l founder Carlo Petrini), has been carefully expanding its offerings.<br \/>\nOwners Flo Hawley and Portia McKnight are providing the ingredients for this month\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s farm dinner at Panzanella on Monday. Reservations at 929-6626.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BALLE high<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Carrboro\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s taken an interest in BALLE, the organization that works with communities trying to build stronger local economies. BALLE co-founder Judy Wicks, who speaks Tuesday at the N.C.
