Bet it was swell.<br \/>\n<strong>Irish Spring<\/strong>? Fresh on the heels of last week\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <strong>Solas<\/strong> show, the center\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <strong>Celtic Concert<\/strong> series concludes with <strong>Dervish<\/strong> on Thursday, March 29. The next night (that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Friday, if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve already lost count), <strong>John Jorgenson<\/strong> promises to play the heck out of an acoustic guitar in that gypsy jazz style.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that tickets are still around for <strong>Kid Koala\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s<\/strong> show at the ArtsCenter.<br \/>\nAt the Cat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Cradle, the local highlight is the Saturday, March 31 release party for <strong>The Moaners&#8217;<\/strong> new record, <em>Blackwing Yalobusha<\/em>. They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re joined by <strong>Spider Bags<\/strong> and <strong>Un Deux Trois<\/strong>. Big names from out of town headed to the Cradle this week are <strong>Ted Leo and the Pharmacists<\/strong> returning on Friday, March 30 and the original <strong>Sebadoh<\/strong> playing on Wednesday, April 4. Add to that a Hip Hop show on Thursday, March 29 featuring Virginia Beach\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <strong>Clipse<\/strong> with Durham\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <strong>Kaze<\/strong> and <strong>Free Bass 808<\/strong>; and the return of the <strong>Electric Six<\/strong> with <strong>Test Your Reflex<\/strong> and <strong>Night Kills the Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Over in the West End, the week at Local 506 starts with <strong>The Black Angels<\/strong> <strong>and Vietnam<\/strong> on Wednesday, followed by two CD release shows by <strong>Sons with Calico Haunts<\/strong> and <strong>Heather<\/strong> <strong>McIntyre<\/strong> on Thursday, March 29; and <strong>Eyes to Space<\/strong> on Friday. Saturday features <strong>Boxbomb<\/strong>, <strong>Barbarella<\/strong> and <strong>Slow Motion Crash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Over at The Reservoir, there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a Tuesday, April 3 show featuring <strong>Giant Squid<\/strong>, <strong>Grayceon<\/strong> and <strong>Tooth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Down the street at The Cave, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a big weekend with <strong>Regina Hexaphone<\/strong> and <strong>Casados<\/strong> on Friday, <strong>Big Fat Gap<\/strong> playing Saturday and a three-band mashup on Sunday with <strong>Can Joann, Jaguar Club<\/strong> and <strong>The Manics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week in music March 28 through April 4 This week kicks off with a sold out Leo Kottke show at the ArtsCenter.
