The program will feature a presentation of <em>The Oldest Living Confederate Widow: Her Confession<\/em>, one-woman play based on the novel by Allan Gurganus. Co-authored by Gurganus and Jane Holding, the play is a vivid portrait of Lucy Marsden, the 99-year old widow of America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s last surviving Civil War soldier. UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp and his wife, Patti, will lead the audience in a sing-along of Civil War-era songs. Admission is $50. Proceeds go toward funding the Society\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s programs and grants. Advance tickets available at the Carrboro Arts Center.
